Larsen C and the Arctic Shelf

Very interesting article published by NPR. “British researchers monitoring the crack in the Larsen C ice shelf say that only about 12 miles now connect the chunk of ice to the rest of the continent.” This could completely change the makeup of the Arctic shelf. This crack could cause 10% of Larsen C to disconnect from the rest of the shelf. They believe that this could happen within the next few months.
